After previously saying that work on an Ant-Man movie was certainly a top priority, director Edgar Wright may be having a change of heart, and priorities. In speaking with Empire magazine, Wright mentioned that another project, one not based around an adaptation of a comic book or action figure franchise, may have taken his attention. As he continues to wrap up work on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, another comic book/graphic novel adaptation, Wright discussed what his future plans are, which may surprise some comic book fans. "I'd like to make Baby Driver next if possible. On this film (Pilgrim) and other things I've been blogging furiously and putting up a photo every day, but I think when I do that one I'd like to go completely silent for once. Probably because it's not an adaptation or anything, or a sequel to anything else." Baby Driver would be a twist on crime and action films, although other details surrounding the project remain unclear. In moving on to the Baby Driver project, Wright stated that this might mean no Ant-Man for the time being. "I can't be in two places at once. I'm not one of those people who can do three things at the same time, even though I try to be. So once I'm doing one thing, like this, I'm only doing this. Other things – like Ant-Man... have all gone away until I'm done with this." This may mean that fans of the tiny hero will have to wait longer than expected. This will probably leave him out of the Avengers movie from Marvel.
