Comic-Con 2011 is going to be full of big announcements, surprises, twists, turns and more! Sounds just like a comic book, so this announcement from Dark Horse is in the right place. Three major new series were announced by the company by Dark Horse President and CEO Mike Richardson, the start to what promises to be a news-filled convention for the company. Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, along with best-selling romance and fantasy author P.C. Cast AND award-winning director Guillermo del Toro will EACH see series released by Dark Horse in the coming future. Each series will have its own distinct story and work, specifically with the major figures' influence! Cast's title will focus on her best-selling House of Night series, a novel series focusing on a young girl, now a vampire, who must attend the House of Night boarding school as she adjusts to her new life and role. Morello's project is taking a different path and will be called Orchid, focusing on a girl who, as Morello puts it, "becomes the Spartacus of prostitutes." Rounding out the interesting trio is del Toro's work The Strain, which will be based on his work with co-novelist Chuck Hogan. Del Toro's work focuses on vamps as well, but with a more bloodthirsty and gory approach.
