In spite of being closed for the week, DC has set up some blog entries to preview April's eighth-issue New 52 covers. Today it began with Action Comics, in which series artist Rags Morales returns to the title and Superman returns to battle with the alien menace (presumably Braniac-related) who captured half of Metropolis in a bottle. That's notable enough, but it's worth mentioning that we're seeing the first look here of Morales's take on the new, "armored" Superman costume. Next up is Superman, featuring a cover by Ivan Reis (who appears to just be drawing covers all over the DC Universe these days, doesn't he?) as Superman faces off against another alien threat--Lord Helspont, the leader of the Daemonite race which is causing trouble in Grifter, Voodoo, Stormwatch and more.
