Marvel has just made available the cover and first three unlettered pages from March 7's The Defenders #4. Written by Fear Itself mastermind Matt Fraction and featuring art by Michael Lark and a cover by superstar artist Terry Dodson, The Defenders has been a runaway success for Marvel, topping the company's sales in December and garnering mostly glowing reviews. The issue seems to focus squarely on Doctor Strange, with the Sorcerer Supreme being featured not just on the cover but also in Marvel's teaser text, which describes the issue as follows:

It's the book that MTV says is "big, bold and bravura work" and we have your first look at Defenders #4! From the creative team of Matt Fraction and Michael Lark, Doctor Strange embarks on an all new mission after discovering the mysterious Concordance Engine! Can the former Sorcerer Supreme unlock it's secrets without damaging the very fabric of the Marvel Universe? Find out in Defenders #4, hitting store shelves and the Marvel Comics app everywhere this March!

Look for the issue in early March; if you want to reserve a copy, talk to your retailer before the final order cutoff in the second week of February! [gallery link="file" columns="2" orderby="title"]
