Wonder Woman Movie

We've already gone on record saying that a Wonder Woman movie should be fast-tracked by Warner Bros, and we think a lot of other people agree, because interviewers keep asking various actresses if they would be interested in the role. The latest actress to face the Wonder Woman question is Lynn Collins. During an interview with Digital Spy, Collins was asked if she would consider playing Wonder Woman, and she replied, "That's so interesting. Everybody's saying that." The buzz about Lynn Collins as Wonder Woman is being driven by her performance as Dejah Thoris in the John Carter movie. While John Carter doesn't hit theaters officially until this weekend, many journalists have seen sneak previews. Early word is that her performance in John Carter is very good, and of course, her costume in John Carter lends itself to visualizing her playing an Amazon princess. In regards to the Wonder Woman role, Collins went on to say, "I don't know how I even feel about that. I will say that Lynda Carter was awesome..is an awesome woman and following in those footsteps would be a mighty process for sure." If Lynn Collins were to be cast in the Wonder Woman role, then it wouldn't be her first time in a comic book move, as she played Silver Fox in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Other actresses that have been linked to speculation about playing Wonder Woman in the past include Megan Fox, Christina Hendricks, Gina Carano, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Eliza Dushku, Sandra Bullock, Beyonce Knowles and Adrianne Palicki. Of course in Palicki's case, she was actually cast in a TV pilot and not linked to a Wonder Woman movie. Most recent speculation has revolved around either Christina Hendricks or Gina Carano landing the Wonder Woman role. Carano has been a popular topic of conversation since the former mixed martial arts figher starred in the Haywire movie. She would definitely have the toughness to pull off the action and fighting sequences in a Wonder Woman movie. Even though no official director has been named for a Wonder Woman movie, director Nicolas Winding Refn has expressed his desire to be the director. Refn has also named Christina Hendricks as his choice for actress to play the role.
