We're already on record as saying this will be the biggest box office Summer ever. We're getting pretty close to adding Spring to that statement as well.  March is going to be extremely strong, April has some solid possibilities.  And May has "The Avengers," "Battleship," and "Men In Black 3."  But there is another May movie that has a great shot at pulling in audiences: "Dark Shadows."  Here is the first official trailer:

Directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp, and written by Seth Grahame-Smith (who also wrote another film coming out in June that we're high on: "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"), "Dark Shadows" is a silver screen adaptation of the cult tv series. The film centers on Barnabas Collins, a successful, rich man in 1752.  But then he breaks the heart of a witch, and she turns him into a vampire and buries him.  Two and a half centuries later, Barnabas is uncovered.  He returns to his estate, where he finds his messed up descendants.  Obviously, after viewing the trailer, hilarity ensues. Slapped smack down on the release calendar in the middle of a bunch of action films, "Dark Shadows" could have a huge following come May 11th.
