DC Comics has been showing off variant covers for some of next month's high-profile releases at their blog all day today, beginning with the ninth issue of James Robinson's The Shade and including things like Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre #1, Batman #10 and more. Silk Spectre gets not one but three variant covers--one by Dave Johnson, one by Jim Lee and a recolored version of the standard cover by series artist Amanda Conner which will ship with the digital combo pack versions of the book. Deathstroke #10 gets an electric variant by Rob Liefeld, while Batman #10's variant from Raphael Albuquerque--who draws the backup features in the book--is moody and a little disturbing. Frazer Irving, meanwhile, chimes in with a devilish variant for The Shade #9. We'll add more throughout the day if DC does, but it seems as though they've moved on to other things for now.
