Like G.I. Joe: Retaliation and World War Z before it, the film adaptation of Peter M. Lenkov's Dark Horse Comics's R.I.P.D. is headed back for reshoots at the request of the studio, Bloody Disgusting reported today. The movie, which reportedly finished shooting its initial cut of the movie back in January, has already been delayed from a June 28 to a July 17, 2013 release date. It revolves around Nick Cruz Walker, a recently-murdered police officer who "joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest In Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him." It's not immediately clear what actors director Robert Schwentke will have with him for the reshoots, which will reportedly take place this weekend. R.I.P.D. stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Miller, Mike O'Malley, James Hong, Robert Knepper and Tobias Segal.
