The Sixth Gun Recruits Treme Star As Male Lead

Former Treme and Nashville actor Michiel Huisman has been cast as Drake Sinclair, the male lead to play opposite Laura Ramsey's Becky Montcrief. The pilot, which was originally set for Syfy and then upgraded to NBC by virtue of the involvement of former Lost producer Carlton Cuse, is based on the Oni Comics series by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt. Ramsey will play a farmer's daughter who comes into possession of a gun with magical powers and has to use it to defend herself against powerful forces who want to take it from her and use it for evil. Huisman plays a "rogue gunslinger and handsome bastard," per Deadline.
