Robert Kirkman Walking Dead Movie

Last year, there were rumors that surfaced that a Walking Dead movie was in the works. When Comicbook.com inquired about the movie rumors to AMC and representatives of Robert Kirkman last year, they offered no comment on the validity of the rumors. Just moments ago, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman appeared on the Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo on CNBC. When Bartiromo asked Robert Kirkman about the possibility of a Walking Dead movie, he gave an interesting response. Robert Kirkman said, "There's always talk, but there's no definite plans just yet, but who knows what the future holds." As far as if there is any danger of zombies getting overexposed, Robert Kirkman said that in regards to other horror monsters that he always felt "that zombie didn't get their due." Kirkman also added, "I think we're pretty far away from a saturation point." Sort of sounds like Kirkman is wisely keeping the door open for a Walking Dead movie at some point in time. Would a Walking Dead movie be overkill? Or would a Walking Dead movie be a great idea to show things that might not be possible on a TV budget? The Walking Dead TV series currently airs on Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
