In a move that will surprise virtually no one, Mark Millar and Matthew Vaughn's latest collaboration will head to Fox, as The Secret Service begins filming for the studio in August, Deadline reports. Millar is currently shepherding Fox's mini Marvel Universe, comprised of the X-Men and Fantastic Four properties. Vaughn directed X-Men: First Class for fox and departed X-Men: Days of Future Past after writing the script, reportedly to take on The Secret Service before someone with a suspiciously similar premise could get their movie out first. Vaughn also directed Kick-Ass, based on the comic by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr., but departed the sequel to that film, ironically to work on X-Men. Vaughn has reportedly already finished the script for The Secret Service, based on the comics by Millar and Watchmen co-creator Dave Gibbons. Like Kick-Ass, Vaughn plans to be faithful to the comic book source material on The Secret Service, about a veteran secret agent who trains a young protege.
