Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter

In a new interview with Metro, Hayley Atwell spills some interesting details about future plans for her character Peggy Carter. As first reported on Comicbook.com, Marvel Studios Co-President Louis D'Esposito revealed at last night's Iron Man 3 World Premiere that he had directed a short film with a female protagonist, which would premiere at Comic-Con. While Loius D'Exposito wouldn't reveal who the character was, Hayley Atwell previously revealed that there would be a snapshot of Peggy Carter at Comic-Con. In her interview with Metro, Hayley Atwell reconfirms that something is in the works for her at Comic-Con. Atwell said, "I'm going to [comic book convention] Comic Con in July. I've never been before, so I said to the film's producer: 'What is it, like 3,000 people?' He said: 'No, try 300,000 people.' They get quite obsessive." Atwell also revealed that she's going to have a lot more action scenes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Atwell said, "I've been working with some stunt coordinators – I get three separate fight scenes. The training has been really tough because not only are you learning the moves, you're also learning the power of the punch so it doesn't look like you have spaghetti arms. On my first day, they said: 'It's going really well but you don't have to add your own sound effects…'" Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on April 4, 2014.
