Doctor Strange In Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

There are definitely some strange things afoot with Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. The first footage has revealed that there will be super powered individuals on the show, but no one knows if the super heroes will be brand new creations or existing characters from the Marvel Universe. Speculation on J. August Richards' character has ranged from Luke Cage To Rage to Patriot (Elijah Bradley). Now, fans are speculating about another Marvel character that might appear in the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Could the image above be an astral projection of Doctor Strange? Since Doctor Strange is one of the characters that Marvel Studios definitely has feature film plans for, it would seem unlikely that they would utilize him in the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Since Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. exists in the same universe as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios would need to have the same actor playing Doctor Strange on both the TV show and in the movies, and it's doubtful that Marvel Studios has made a definitive casting decision for Doctor Strange at this point. And judging from the trailer, the image above is computer generated, so it's not an astral projection. Then again, just when the image appears, Agent Coulson says, "We work the cases S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn't classified, the strange, the unknown." Could the use of the word "strange" in coordination with the image above be a hint? With a Doctor Strange movie on the development slate for Marvel Studios, maybe Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will help lay the groundwork for the eventual film. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on ABC in the Fall.
