Dan Harmon, the creator and executive producer of NBC's Community who was recently brought back to the fifth and presumably final season of the cult hit sitcom, has finally seen season four. And he's...unimpressed, we'll say. Harmon, who had to watch season four in order to write season five, said during his Harmontown podcast yesterday that David Guarascio and Moses Port had created "impression, and an unflattering one" of Community and that they had failed to make the show their own, instead aping his style badly. That said, Harmon took the trauma as an opportunity to expand his definition of what Community can be. "There's something awesome about having all of those preconceived notions kind of ripped away from you," Harmon said. "It's exciting. There's something awesome about being held down and watching your family get raped on a beach. It's liberating. It makes you focus on what's important."
