According to a Twitter account for Exhibitor Relations, Marvel Studios have added another film to the 2016 development slate. Just two weeks after a new 2016 Marvel Studios title was announced, and another for 2017, the reliable source of theater information claims that a new film will be added to the Disney/Marvel schedule for July 8, 2016, just a month after the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 3, a Marvel property being produced by Sony. Films that are expected to be announced by Marvel Studios for Phase III include Black Panther, The Inhumans and Heroes For Hire. Ant-Man already has a release date, and Doctor Strange has been confirmed, although no release date has yet been set. When they announced last week that Robert Downey, Jr. had signed on for two more Avengers films, they effectively confirmed Avengers 3 by default. Expect more details at San Diego Comic-Con International in July. Last year, they confirmed long-simmering rumors of Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man, as well as giving dates and subtitles to Captain America and Thor sequels that will be in theaters in the next 12 months or so.
