Walking Dead Season Four

With Tyreese, The Governor, Sasha and Beth upgraded from recurring characters on Season Three of AMC's The Walking Dead to series regulars on Season Four, TVLine reports that the series will bring on at least three new recurring characters--probably Woodbury residents living in Rick's new "nursing home." They describe the characters as:

  • Laura, a single mom and ex-nurse who isn't quite as strong as she first appears
  • Melody, a 'just one of the guys' kinda gal in her 20s
  • Don, who sounds like Hershel, if Hershel were crankier and two-legged.

There was a Don in the comics, also featured in the video game The Walking Dead: Dead Reckoning, but this is unlikely to be the same guy; the Don of the comics was a deputy who worked in Rick's sheriff's department and who was bitten at the start of the outbreak and turned. Therefore, they've introduced three potential wild cards, since these characters have no comic book source material upon which to base assumptions.
