The month of November could wind up being a very good month for Hollywood Studios this year. Thor: The Dark World should get things started off right next weekend. The sequel to the Thor movie is expected to benefit from The Avengers effect and could very well crack $100 million in its opening weekend. However, there's another November film that is tracking even higher. According to The Wrap, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is currently tracking for up to a $185 million opening weekend. It's an incredible tracking number, considering that the film is still three weeks away from release. If The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actually hits the $185 million tracking number, then the film will shatter the opening weekend record for the month of November. The Twilight Saga: New Moon currently holds the November opening weekend record with a $142.8 million take back in 2009. In addition to giving The Hunger Games: Catching fire the all-time record for the month of November, a $185 million opening weekend would also set a new opening weekend record for the year 2013. Iron Man 3 currently has the largest opening weekend to date for 2013 with a $174.1 opening weekend back in May. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on November 22, 2013.
