Yesterday saw the release of Argo: The Declassified Extended Edition, a new Blu-ray box set complete with movie posters, extra special features and an extended version of the film that goes a little deeper into the true story behind the CIA and Canadian government's elaborate movie hoax. The film tells the story of an intelligence agent who used Jack Kirby concept art from an unproduced science fiction film to help them sell Iran on the idea that a Canadian firm was location-scouting for a big-budget science fiction epic, which allowed them to gain access to a handful of Americans who had been stranded in the country and hunted by the government following the sacking of the U.S. embassy in 1979. Warner Bros. have provided us with a number of cool, new behind-the-scenes shots from the Best Picture winner, which you can check out below. Argo: The Deluxe Extended Edition is available  now and stars Ben Affleck, Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman. Check out the images below. As an added bonus for ComicBook.com readers, Warner have included a look at the exclusive Argo science fiction movie poster that's included inside the box set. The fully-painted poster is a replica of the one used the "sell" the idea of the movie and it meant to be a poster for the film within a film.
