Former HBO entertainment president Sue Naegle, who spearheaded that network's failed effort to nail down Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead, will join Kirkman's latest comic book adaptation Outcast as a producer. According to Deadline, who first reported the Naegle story, Outcast follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it. The pilot will be written by Kirkman, based on his comic book script for the as-yet-unrelease collaboration with artist Paul Azaceta at Image Comics, where Kirkman is a partner and heads the Skybound imprint. The show is headed to Cinemax, where there is virtually no question the pilot will be ordered to series on the strength of Kirkman's The Walking Dead cred.
