Watch Captain America Kick Off The Daytona 500

As we reported last week, Chris Evans, who plays Captain America for Marvel Studios, was selected to serve as Grand Marshall of the Daytona 500. Now, we have video of Evans appearing at the Daytona 500 and helping to kick off the race. In a pre-race interview with Fox Sports, Evans said, "It's a little nerve racking. Being here, you get the sense of how important this is, and how much this is cherished and valued by so many people. And when you get the nod that you're going to do it, you think, 'Oh. I've got to say a few words.' Then, you show up and you realize, 'Oh, man, I hope I don't mess this up.'" Fortunately, Evans proved to be a superhero on the race track, and he didn't mess things up, uttering with perfection, "Drivers, start your engines!" Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to arrive in movie theaters on April 4, 2014.
