Captain America: The Winter Soldier premieres in the U.S. this weekend, and fans will want to stick around for two post-credit scenes in that film. On tonight’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., there was only one post-credits scene, but it tied into Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Agents Of S.H.I.EL.D. Episode 16 “Beginning Of The End” just finished airing for East Coast viewers. If you haven’t watched the episode yet, then be warned that spoilers follow for the bonus scene. If you just can’t wait or have seen the episode, then keep reading because we will be covering exactly what happened.
The Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. after the credits scene kicks off with a car chase in Washington, DC. A black S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle, which is riddled with bullet holes, is being chased by several police cars. Nick Fury is at the wheel of the S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle. One of the officers leans out of a police car and shoots at Fury with an automatic weapon. Fury is pinned in between two police cars. Fury runs a stoplight at an intersection, and the two police cars are struck by a truck.
Fury shouts, "Get me off the grid." His vehicle responds, "Calculating route to secure location." Suddenly, Fury spots The Winter Soldier standing in the road in front of him. The Winter Soldier fires a gun that sends an explosive device under Fury's vehicle. The explosive device blows up, sending Fury's vehicle flipping end over end. As the vehicle comes to rest upside down, The Winter Soldier can be seen walking toward it. Inside the vehicle, an injured Nick Fury looks out the window. The scene, which comes directly from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is followed by an ad for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
