Marvel Comics Launches Savage Hulk With Alan Davis This June

This June, Marvel Comics is launching Savage Hulk, a brand new ongoing series starring the Green Goliath. The first story arc will be written and drawn by the legendary Alan Davis. Davis's story will see the Hulk clashes with some unusual opponents: the X-Men. "We wanted big names, superstars and break-out talent to tell their unique stories within continuity," says Senior Editor Mark Paniccia, in an interview with Marvel.com. "That might be now, or using elements of the past and perhaps even glimpses of the future. It all comes back to the current Hulk mythos while letting the talent cut loose with that Hulk story they've been dying to tell." A previously unknown connection between the Hulk and Professor X leads to a battle between with Xavier's X-Men, but they'll need to join forces when two of Hulk's most fearsome enemies come out of the shadows: the Leader and the Abomination.
