Captain America: The Winter Soldier Bluray Will Not Include A One Shot Film

The Blu-ray release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier was announced earlier today and with it came a list of special features that will be included with the film. Many fans noticed that there was no Marvel One-Shot listed with the special features, though the announcement did imply that some features were not yet revealed. Ryan Penagos, Executive Editorial Director of Marvel Digital Media, has confirmed via Twitter that the Blu-ray release will not include a Marvel One-Shot, saying "#CaptainAmerica #WinterSoldier Blu-ray is jam-packed, but I can confirm there will be no corresponding One-Shot released." The Marvel One-Shot short films have been included in the last several Blu-ray releases of Marvel films and have been used to tell smaller stories alongside the blockbuster films, often fleshing out some backstory for character like Agent Phil Coulson or Peggy Carter. The first One-Shot was The Consultant, which appeared on the Thor Blu-ray, and the latest was All Hail the King, which was packaged with Thor: The Dark World. No word on whether any future Marvel One-Shots are being planned.
