While so far, The CW haven't given much promotion to the midseason replacement series iZombie, based on the comic from Chris Roberson and Mike Allred, a pair of actors involved with the series did show up at a recent red carpet event, and spoke to IGN.

Rahul Kohli and Malcolm Goodwin, who play Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti and Detective Clive Babinaux on the series, spoke with the entertainment site about their roles, their relationships to the titular zombie Liv, working with showrunner Rob Thomas and their love of comics and being part of the DC family.

"The character is a man of science and he loves medical anomalies and Loch Ness Monster, Yeti, those kind of myths and things like that," Kohli said. "So when he meets Liv, it's treated as such -- it's an incredible medical anomaly and he's fascinated by that."

"Working with [Rob Thomas] was amazing; it was a great experience," Goodwin said. "he just creates an atmosphere where everybody can do their best...and being that he's so clear on what he wants, he just kind of champions you to do your best."

Both actors said that they grew up reading comics and are excited to be a part of the DC Entertainment family.

"What DC's doing with television is phenomenal, and I'm just exciited to be a part of that," said Goodwin.

iZombie, developed for television by Veronica Mars showrunner Rob Thomas, will debut on The CW in early 2015.
