The writing team of Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer have been hired as production writers for Marvel Studios' Ant-Man, according to the Latino Review.

The script was originally written by then-director Edgar Wright before Wright left the project due to him and Marvel having "a difference in vision" for the film. Anchorman writer and director Adam McKay revised the script for new director Peyton Reed.

As production writers, Ferrari and Barrer will be on-hand in Atlanta to tweak the script, as needed, during production. They will not be doing a wholesale rewrite or revision to the script, and they may end up doing so little as to not receive any official credit for their work.

Ferrari and Barrer were first noticed for a 2010 Black List script they co-wrote together, titled Die in a Gunfight. A Sabrina the Teenage Witch script they wrote for Sony is, reportedly, what got the attention of Marvel Studios.

Ant-Man is scheduled for theatrical release on July 17, 2015.
