Christina Chong, who played Mariana in 24: Live another Day, has joined the cast of Star Wars Episode VII, according to the Latino Review. Her role is still unknown.
Chong is the third actress added to the cast of Star Wars Episode VII, following criticism of concerning gender imbalance. She follows Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o, and Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie.
Chong is a rising star who has also landed the female lead in the upcoming Halo: Nightfall digital series. Previous film credits include Johnny English Reborn, W.E. and Freakdog.
Star Wars Episode VII comes to theaters December 18, 2015.
