Fans around the world are celebrating Batman Day and sharing their enthusiasm for the Dark Knight on social media, and we've rounded up some of the highlights thus far.

Warner Bros. and DC aren't going to be left out of the festivities, and on top of showing off the Bat-Signal from the set of Justice League, they've also given fans a first look at J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon alongside it.

Batman enthusiast Kevin Smith celebrated by sharing some fan art on Facebook. Not only did they feature Smith as the caped crusader, but a few of them also featured his wife Jen as Catwoman and his daughter Harley Quinn as, wait for it, Harley Quinn.

"Happy #BatmanDay! To honor our lord and savior, I offer some fantastic fan art - including a piece depicting my wife Jen as Catwoman and my kid @harleyquinnsmith_ as #HarleyQuinn! I don't know who created these amazing images but I'll add their names if anyone can identify the artists. In the meantime, spend this high holy day reading about the adventures of the #darkknight or seeing his movies, or listening to Bruce Wayne's favorite podcast, #FatManOnBatman! #KevinSmith #batmanday #batmanday2016"

A hero is only as good as their villains, and Batman has a plethora of fantastic rogues to choose from. WWE Superstar Finn Balor's outings as Bane and Joker during his early days have been making the rounds on Twitter, and they're quite glorious.

Many comic shops, directors, actors, and comic creators are celebrating with special deals or tribute art for their favorite hero, and you can catch some of the highlights below.

The day is far from over, so we'll keep updating the page with more shoutouts to everyone's favorite Dark Knight. You can also take a look at our other Batman Day Celebration posts here.
