Wonder Woman has been drawn by a multitude of talented artists over the years, but there are few who create a more recognizable Diana than the talented Jim Lee.

As part of Wonder Woman's 75th anniversary, Lee drew a special custom art piece for Variety, and they captured the whole process on video along with some commentary from the fan favorite artist.

"I think there's a lot of things that kind of go through my mind when I sit down to draw something like this. Obviously, you want to get the costume and the details correct, but the most important thing about drawing a character, especially one like Wonder Woman, who is so iconic, so well known, is really capturing the emotional state of the character. Trying to represent this visually the things that she stands for. Power, Equality, Strength, Wisdom."

DC has been celebrating the big occasion all year long, something that DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson promised they would do earlier this year.

"There's no better time than now," when it comes to featuring Wonder Woman in full-force. "The overall conversation that's happening in our culture right now – about having stronger gender equality representation in media and in government and in education and all of it just makes it the perfect time to see a character like Wonder Woman out there."

So far Wonder Woman has received her own special edition postage stamps, a life-sized LEGO statue, new comics starring the iconic Lynda Carter, and a United Nations ceremony that ushered in the launching of Wonder Woman day. That's not to mention the lead up to the hero's solo debut in next year's Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot.

It's a great time to be a Wonder Woman fan.
