After tonight's thrilling episode of Supergirl , The CW released a sneak preview of next Monday's "Welcome to Earth" episode (video above). It features Supergirl taking on a super-powered female antagonist; however, neither the character nor the actress playing her has been officially revealed, as far as I know.

Even so, in the closing-seconds of the episode's trailer, this powerful woman's skin turns green, her eyes glow red, and then she unleashes what appears to be a psionic blast (potentially Martian Vision) from her eyes that sends Supergirl flying backwards. So, did we just get our first look at Miss Martian (a.k.a. M'gann M'orzz)?

First off, the actress I'm referring to in the sneak preview is NOT Sharon Leal (Hellcats, Grimm), and we know for a fact, Leal IS the actress portraying Miss Martian in Supergirl this season. But, aside from having green skin, glowing red eyes, and Martian Vision, M'gann is an expert shape-shifter, so I believe the show could be introducing her as someone else before we see her take on Leal's appearance.

Furthermore, I theorize that the powerful woman won't be Miss Martain in disguise the entire episode. Here's why: In the middle of the preview, the powerful woman shoots fire from her hand, and since we know that element is very bad (FIRE BAD!!!) for Martians, Green and especially White, it's probably not Miss Martain at that moment in the episode.

By the way, the first official mention of M'gann being part of the show was revealed in the the official synopsis for "Survivors," the fourth episode of Supergirl's second season. It reads: "Hank (David Harewood) is thrilled to have found another Martian and tries to get to know M'Gann (guest star Sharon Leal) better." Based on that, it sounds like Martain Manhunter met M'gann in the previous episode ("Welcome to Earth"), thus adding more credence to my theory.

Also, if someone recognizes the actress (pictured above) featured in the preview, let me know who she is in the comment section below.

An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault.

Tank Girl and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare director Rachel Talalay, who recently helmed the "Fast Lane" episode of The Flash, directed the episode, which was written by Jessica Queller and Derek Simon.

Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, SUPERGIRL is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Ali Adler (The New Normal), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Arrow) and Sarah Schechter (Blindspot, The Mysteries of Laura). Supergirl is based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and appearing in DC Comics, by special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family.

"Welcome to Earth" episode of Supergirl will air Monday, October 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
