Heroes And Star Wars Actor Greg Grunberg Joins The Flash

Last time Kevin Smith directed an episode of The Flash, he was sure to bring a good friend along for the ride. Season two's 'Runaway Dinosaur', which remains one of the acclaimed episode of the series, featured an appearance of Jason Mewes. Mewes is recognized as Jay, of Jay And Silent Bob, in many of Kevin Smith's feature films.

This time around, Smith has another buddy on set with him. It has just been reported that Smith's Geeking Out co-host Greg Grunberg will be joining The Flash for this week's episode, 'Killer Frost'.

Grunberg is no stranger to appearing in cultural phenomenons. The actor and host had a main role in the hit series Heroes, and appeared in last year's Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Grunberg also appeared in multiple Star Trek movies, and was even featured as the pilot in the first episode of JJ Abrams' popular thriller, Lost.

According to Mashable, Grunberg will be playing a police officer by the name of Tom Patterson. The character is an important figure in the Central City Police Department, and he does everything he can to protect it from dangerous metas.
