Tonight, The Flash kept on with an annual tradition to bring back one of the show's most popular characters. Gorilla Grodd made his Season Three debut after being sent to a far away world by Team Flash, and it looks like the psychic primate still held a grudge over the ordeal. Barry Allen and his friends found themselves imprisoned by Grodd after they traveled to Gorilla City to free a captured Harrison Wells. And, next week, it looks like the ape will be making his way to Central City to get even.
A brand-new preview for the third season's upcoming episode has dropped, and it shows Grodd preparing for all-out war.
"Every time we've beaten him, he comes back stronger," Allen explains. So, when fans see Grodd dressed in battle armor, they know the antagonist has leveled-up yet again. The massive ape is seen walking down an empty street with a weapon in hand. Behind him, a small army of gorillas can be seen following Grodd, and Team Flash can only prepare to do war with the group.
Appropriately, the second-half of Gorilla Grodd's story has an appropriate tagline in this preview. "It will take an act of Grodd."
Yikes.
You can check out the synopsis for the second-half of Gorilla Grodd's return below:
"THE EPIC CONCLUSION TO THE TWO-PART BATTLE WITH GRODD – When Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) and his army of gorillas bring the battle to Earth-1, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and team must find a way to stop them before they destroy Central City. Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) returns to join the fight. Meanwhile, Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) decides she wants to stay with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) on Earth-1."
Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Todd Helbing and teleplay by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes.
