When you think of Hollywood wrap parties, things like champagne and good times should come to mind. However, it doesn't look like the Aquaman crew got such a lavish treatment. After all, one of their co-workers was stabbed shortly after the film's wrap party ended.
Earlier today, news broke that Aquaman's wrap party deflated after an unidentified crew member was stabbed. The crime took place last week in Canada as Aquaman had been filming between Newfoundland and Labrador. The victim was leaving a pub and chatting with some women after the party when he was confronted by another man. CBC News reports the assailant was being "confrontational" when he approached the Aquaman worker.
According to reports, the stranger walked away from the crew member at first once the fight deescalated. However, the man returned to pick a fight, and a second man then approached the victim with a knife from behind.
After being taken to the hospital, the Aquaman crew member was released. The man's wounds were not too severe, but he was not the only person injured in the attack. Three people sustained minor injuries when they attempted to subdue the assailant. The attacker fled the scene before police could arrive, but a 22-year-old man has since been arrested for the assault.
Fans are keeping the Aquaman crew member in their thoughts, and DC fans are also applauding the film's end. The party does signify that the film is done with most -- if not all -- of its principal shooting at this point. Stars like Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, and more have traveled the world to film the feature, so they will no doubt enjoy a break from the DC venture.
If you're ready to see Aquaman on the big screen, you will want to check out Justice League first. The film is set to debut in November, and it will house Jason Momoa's debut into the DC Extended Universe as Arthur Curry.
