It looks like another project is about to warp for DC Films. A new report has suggested Aquaman will finish filming by the end of this month.
Over on Twitter, The Aquaman Shrine provided an update about the film's production schedule. The account has closely followed the project's filming thus far, and its sources have indicated Aquaman will wrap principal photography by the end of September.
If the reports are correct, Aquaman will pass on a previously scheduled shoot in Sicily to wrap production sooner than expected. The overlooked excursion was rumored to factor the Amazons into Aquaman, but neither Warner Bros. or DC Films commented on the persistent report.
So far, no definitive date for the film's wrap has been shared, but fans did learn the film was nearing a close recently. Reports about Aquaman's wrap party in Canada went viral after a crew member was stabbed shortly after the event.
According to CBC News, a member of Aquaman's crew was leaving its wrap party when they got involved in a scuffle. The victim was outside a pub chatting with some women when a stranger confronted him. Reports indicate newcomer got "confrontational" with the Aquaman worker, but the man left the conversation at first.
However, the aggressor returned with another man in tow. The pair confronted the Aquaman crew member, and the stranger's friend stabbed the victim from behind. The pair ran away before the police could arrive, but a young man has since been arrested for the assault.
Some fans may be confused why Aquaman is still filming if a wrap party was held already, but it seems the first get-together was meant to commemorate the film's Canadian shoot. Filming has commenced since the party was held, and there's only a bit left to finish now. If Aquaman does wrap by September's end, the film will have about six months to go through post-production which is par for the course. So, hopefully, fans will get some footage of the movie sooner rather than later.
If you're ready to see Aquaman on the big screen, you will want to check out Justice League first. The film is set to debut in November, and it will house Jason Momoa's debut into the DC Extended Universe as Arthur Curry.
