It may be a while before the standalone The Flash film heads into production, but once Flashpoint finally makes it to screen, here's to hoping fans get an epic Aquaman and Wonder Woman fight scene like the one in this epic piece of fan art.

Artist BembiAnn shared her take on a fight between Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman on Twitter earlier today with the Amazon's shield going up against Aquaman's powerful Trident of Neptune with the Justice League allies looking anything but united. Check out the image below.

For those not familiar with Flashpoint and wondering why Aquaman and Wonder Woman would be fighting each other, here's a quick primer. The Flashpoint story arc is a large-scale instance of Barry Allen breaking things. The speedster disrupts the timeline when he attempts to save his mother from every being murdered. While The Flash is successful in saving his mother, his actions create an alternative timeline where Wonder Woman is a major antagonist alongside Aquaman and while Superman, Batman, and Cyborg all appear as well they are definitely not the versions fans are accustomed to.

As for when fans will get to see Flashpoint, fans could be waiting a while. The film does not yet have a new director essentially ruling out the originally predicted 2018 release date. However, it's not all bad news for the film. A recent report by Deadline indicated that Gal Gadot is expected to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the film while a report from Variety's Justin Kroll indicated that a new script for the film has been submitted to Warner Bros.

Wonder Woman and Aquaman, as well as The Flash, will next be seen in Justice League on November 17.
