There's no denying the power of Wonder Woman these days. The heroine rushed into theaters this summer with an acclaimed solo film, and Wonder Woman will return to theaters next month in Justice League. Some have began wondering if the upcoming film chose to shift attention to Gal Gadot's character in light of her recent success, but fans should perish the thought.

After all, Gadot just stressed Justice League will far from a Wonder Woman sequel.

Over on Reddit, an interview that Gadot did with Empire Magazine has started to float around. The actress, who opened up about her Justice League gig, told the publication Wonder Woman's role is central in the film but not its overall focus.

"I did one week," Gadot said when asked about the film's reshoots. Many thought the film's return to shooting was to up Wonder Woman's role in Justice League, but the actress wants fans to know what is not the case.

"Diana serves as the glue of the team. She finds moments to support every one of the team and makes them feel stronger or believe in themselves, but this is not a Wonder Woman movie," the actress continued.

Earlier this year, fans began speculating that Wonder Woman's role in Justice League was ready for an expansion. The heroine's undeniable success with her solo film proved how lucrative Diana Prince was. Many wondered if DC Films would increase the hero's screen time to appease critics who've been skeptical about the studio's previous releases, but it doesn't look like Wonder Woman will do any such thing. Gadot says the heroine had a large role in Justice League to start with, so there was nothing else to add to her bit.
