DC's Metal event is in full swing, but what better way to truly immerse yourself in the crazy story than with an official soundtrack?

That's exactly what DC is doing with their new Dark Nights: Metal soundtrack. The EP will consist of six tracks in conjunction with Warner Bros. Records, and will for the perfect compliment to the Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo series.

"As both a musician and fan of heavy metal music, having a soundtrack for Dark Nights: Metal is pretty awesome," Capullo said. "I really like the concept of having hard-driving, heavy music as a complement to the incredible story that Scott and I are telling."

The album will feature production work from Tyler Bates and Mike Elizondo, the former of which has worked on movies like Watchmen, 300, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Of course, that's when he isn't playing guitar for Marilyn Manson. As for Elizondo, he is senior vice president of A&R over at Warner Bros. Records and has worked with a myriad of musicians, including Dr. Dre, Eminem, Twenty One Pilots, Muse, Avenged Sevenfold, and Mastodon.

"Working together with our partners at DC on a project of this magnitude represents a huge step forward in how music can be used to enhance great storytelling and provide an even more immersive experience for comic book fans," said Xavier Ramos, SVP of Marketing at Warner Bros. Records.

A soundtrack can help to create a one of a kind experience, making an already imaginative world into something else entirely. Snyder is quite excited to see Dark Nights: Metal get that sort of treatment.

"I'm really honored by this," Snyder said. "So many of the Batman stories that Greg and I have worked on together have been fueled or influenced by music that inspired us; this story in particular has rock and metal music as the engine driving it all. To have something like this come together is a huge thrill."

There's no release date for the soundtrack just yet, but fans can pick up Dark Knights: Metal #1 and #2 in comic shops now. Dark Nights: Metal #3 hits comic shops on October 11.
