Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, who has spent the better part of the last 25 years voicing various DC Comics characters, put on a sort of one-man show in a just-released Justice League Action short titled "Missing the Mark."

In the short, seen below, Hamill voices himself as he is kidnapped by The Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill) and The Trickster (voiced by Mark Hamill). The trio eventually come upon Swamp Thing (voiced by Mark Hamill).

This is far from the first time Hamill has poked gentle fun at himself: in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, he played himself -- but a version of himself who was in a movie, playing a supervillain named "Cockknocker," who had a lightsaber battle with Silent Bob. An episode of The Simpsons in which he teamed up with Homer Simpson while performing Star Wars-inspired community theater came a few years before that.

One might even count his role in Kingsman, since the comic book on which it is based featured Hamill being killed, which called more attention to his role in the movie than most of his co-stars got.

For a series aimed pretty squarely at kids, Justice League Action here delivers a joke that many of them may not get -- although the context clue of, "What's a voice actor?" coming from The Joker at the end of the clip might help quite a bit.

The next episode of Justice League Action airs tomorrow. The series runs at 7 a.m. ET/PT on Saturdays on Cartoon Network.
