Stephen Amell may be known for playing Green Arrow on The CW's DC superhero drama Arrow, but he's not the only actor to pick up bow and arrow as the iconic archer for the network. Actor Justin Hartley played the Emerald Archer on Smallville, and this weekend, the two Green Arrows teamed up at a fan fest.

Amell took to Twitter yesterday to share a photo of himself with Hartley at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose this weekend, joking in the caption about a "deleted scene" from the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover.

"You guys should see the deleted scene from #CrisisOnEarthX," Amell wrote.

While Hartley didn't appear in the four-part Arrowverse crossover -- the actor is presently starring on NBC's This Is Us -- if there ever was a time for the former Green Arrow to make an appearance it would have been "Crisis on Earth-X." The crossover saw the Arrowverse heroes face off against their doppelgangers from the Nazi dominated dystopia Earth-X. Earth-1 did face off against his Earth-X counterpart in the crossover (he turned out to be Dark Arrow, Earth-X's Fuhrer) but it still would have been cool for Hartley to show up in some capacity.

Hartley appearing in the Arrowverse is something that fans have wanted since Arrow debuted in 2012. Prior to his work on This Is Us, the actor was best known for his role as Oliver Queen on Smallville and while other Smallville alum have appeared in the Arrowverse -- specifically Erica Durance on Supergirl and Jessica Parker Kennedy briefly in "Crisis on Earth-X" -- Hartley has yet to make an appearance. Maybe they can come up with something for next year's crossover.

Arrow airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on The CW. The show's midseason finale, "Irreconcilable Differences" airs on December 7th.
