For the past week, fans have been eagerly speculating about which established Arrowverse character will be joining Legends of Tomorrow. And now, it looks like one possibility has risen from the pack.

Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance/White Canary on the hit The CW series, recently shared a photo of her and Danielle Panabaker inside Legends' Waverider. Seeing as Panabaker is dressed in her full Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost attire, some have taken this as a sign that Panabaker could be Legends' newest recruit.

so frosty 💕

There's a pretty good chance that this photo could mean nothing, and just be a leftover behind-the-scenes shot from the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover. But could Killer Frost be crossing over from The Flash to Legends of Tomorrow?

On one hand, Caitlin is an Arrowverse favorite, who already has established ties to Legends characters like Ray Palmer/Atom (Brandon Routh) and Mick Rory/Heatwave (Dominic Purcell). She also had a strong bond with both sides of Firestorm, whose seat on the Waverider she would essentially be filling, possibly justifying how she'd get there in the first place.

Plus, as "Crisis on Earth-X" proved, Killer Frost's powers work pretty well with the Legends, as evident by the awesome scene of her, Amaya Jiwe/Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), and Zari Tomaz (Tala Ashe) flying up to the Waverider on a chute of ice.

But on the other hand, a large part of The Flash's current arc factors around Caitlin. As Flash fans know, the team is facing off against a pretty unique threat this season, with Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker (now played by Kendrick Sampson) and Marlize DeVoe/The Mechanic (Kim Engelbrecht) teaming up with Amunet Black (Katee Sackhoff). Caitlin has, by far, the closest ties to Amunet, and removing her from the equation might put Team Flash in a tougher spot.

Again, it's way too early to tell. And as we mentioned, this picture of Panabaker and Lotz could easily be from "Crisis". Either way, Arrowverse fans will just have to wait to find out.

Legends of Tomorrow returns from midseason hiatus on February 12th, 2018.
