The first hour of The CW's "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover was full of action, emotion, and one surprise appearance.

Spoilers for the first hour of "Crisis on Earth-X" below!

In the first hour of "Crisis on Earth-X," which airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the heroes of the Arrowverse come together to celebrate the wedding of Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton), and after some of the issues the couple encountered earlier this season regarding their wedding plans -- specifically a string of bad luck resulting in the pair losing their perfect venue -- things finally seemed to go right. The church was beautiful. All their friends were there, and they even had a friendly priest delivering a beautiful message to perform the wedding.

Of course, things started to go a little sideways, causing the heroes to have to spring into action, but the actor playing the priest is no stranger to superhero adventures.

William Katt had his own turn as a hero as Ralph Hinkley in The Greatest American Hero, a superhero comedy-drama that aired on ABC between 1981 and 1983. In the series, Hinkley, who is a substitute teacher in the Los Angeles public schools, encounters aliens while on a field trip who give him a special suit that allows him to have superhuman abilities. The aliens also instruct Hinkley to work with FBI Special Agent Bill Maxwell to fight crime and injustice in the world.

Hinkley's special suit grants him many powers, including flight, super strength, invisibility, super speed, and telekinesis, making him almost a one-man super team. Unfortunately for the wedding priest, however, Katt left that suit and those powers back with the Hinkley character, so he does not get to be one of the 20+ superheroes on board the Waverider tomorrow night.

"Crisis on Earth-X" is a four-hour event that will air on November 27th and 28th beginning at 8 p.m. and running for two hours each day; Supergirl (8 p.m. Monday), The Flash (8 p.m. Tuesday) and Legends of Tomorrow (9 p.m. Tuesday) will remain in their normal time slots but Arrow will move from Thursday to a 9 p.m. Monday placement for the week.
