DC has been making waves over the last couple of weeks by teasing a ton of Shazam news, and it looks like the first official announcement has come down the pike.
DC has announced that Shazam, starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, will be split into multiple films.
The split could be done in multiple ways. First, there could be a continuous story that takes place over two films - similar to the final installments of Hunger Games and Harry Potter.
On the other hand, this could mean Black Adam is getting his own movie, seperate from the Shazam standalone. According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of the two reported Shazam films will focus solely on Black Adam.
The report even states that Black Adam is currently the title of the film.
Last week, The Rock - along with producers Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia - began meeting with the folks over at DC Comics regarding the film. According to their Twitter accounts, the meeting covered the Shazam movie, Black Adam's role, and the future of the entire DC Extended Universe.
There is sure to be more Black Adam/Shazam news on the way, so stay tuned!
