In today's reveal, we got a closer look at Bungie's Destiny 2, including how superb the game is going to come across on PC with its high end graphics. That said, though, it may not necessarily be arriving at the same time as its console brethren.

Following the news that the game would be making its debut on the Battle.net service rather than Steam, a FAQ went up asking "Where and when will Destiny 2 on PC be available?" At first, fans were expecting the answer to be September 8th, since that's when the console versions are arriving. But that's not necessarily the case.

The answer provided indicates, "We're excited to work with Bungie to bring the PC version of Destiny 2 to every region Blizzard currently operates in. Bungie is actively working through the global details. We look forward to sharing additional information later this year." So, again, no mention of September 8th.

To further get some answers on the matter, Video Game Awards host Geoff Keighley took to Twitter, indicating that the PC version of Destiny 2 could come at a later time as well. He noted it's simply "coming soon," and also said, "Bungie is committed to doing the PC version right" and that "more news down the road on release date" can be expected. So, again, no mention of the 8th.

Maybe Bungie is simply taking the cautious route when it comes to Destiny 2's release on the PC front. After all, companies in the past have rushed their PC ports of games and gotten negative feedback as a result, like Warner Bros. with its problematic edition of Batman: Arkham Knight. On top of that, keep in mind that this is Destiny's franchise debut for the PC, and getting it wrong would be a very crucial error on both Bungie and Activision's part.

As far as when this new release date is, no one is saying. But with E3 around the corner, hopefully we'll get some answers sooner rather than later. At least feedback from those that have played it thus far is very good, indicating that the developer is "nailing it."

Destiny 2 releases on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 8th.
