Dragon Ball FighterZ is the most exciting Dragon Ball game we've had the pleasure of looking forward to since we were kids. Sure Xenoverse had its run, but FighterZ looks to revive the classic 2.5D fighting style we've been missing since the Saturn, PS1, and PSP days. Today our excitement reaches Super Saiyan three power levels (way over 9,000) after the latest issue of Weekly Jump revealed that future Trunks will indeed be part of the roster. Check out this little section of the page scan (via Gematsu):

And there he is. We haven't seen him in any of the gameplay footage from E3, or any of the official trailers, but you can see in the image above that this is actually in in-game screenshot, so we know we can count on Trunks being a part of the playable roster (and not just a story side character). Now the real question is whether or not we'll get to use his sword or if he'll strictly be a hand-to-hand fighter. We really, really want to slash that Z-Sword around.

In case you missed it, Trunks' father has made headlines recently as well. We already knew that Vegeta was going to be in the game, but it's Vegeta's voice actor who surprised us all by going on Twitter and making an appeal to Bandai Namco to bring Dragon Ball FighterZ to the Nintendo Switch. The game's producer was quoted in an interview saying that the Nintendo Switch didn't present any technical or power limitations that would keep the game off of the system, and Bandai Namco simply needed to see demand for the port.

That sent multiple Twitter accounts into immediate action, calling for retweets so Bandai Namco would see how much we all want to play this game on the go. Check it out:

When a Saiyan prince demands something, you don't turn him down. Let's hope that we all get to play as Trunks on our Nintendo Switches next year! In the meantime, we'll be sure to keep you updated with any new footage or confirmations. Stay tuned.
