Nyko's Clip Grip for Nintendo Switch Launches Just in Time for the Online App, Perfect Tool for Voice Chat

Most imminently, Nyko is hyping the Clip Grip Power for Nintendo Switch, a handy little controller companion that should make keeping your smartphone nearby for in-game functionality and online voice chat much more manageable! The Clip Grip Power launched today for $25.

"Inventive video game accessories manufacturer Nyko Technologies today launched Clip Grip Power for Nintendo Switch, an ergonomic grip that allows users to easily mount their Joy-Con controllers and smartphone to better access the Nintendo Online App while playing. Using Clip Grip Power, users can simultaneously charge their smartphone, Joy-Con, or console with the integrated rechargeable battery, and interact with friends and teammates without hindering the original gameplay experience."

This comes just in time for Splatoon 2, which launches this Friday (see our review here). On the same day, Nintendo will be launching its Nintendo Online smartphone app that players will use to form parties, search for items, and chat with teammates in Splatoon 2. It will be a vital part of the gameplay experience, so you're going to need an easy way to manipulate your phone on the fly.

"Since voice chat for multiplayer games on Nintendo Switch is enabled through the Nintendo Switch Online App, we anticipate players needing a convenient, hands-free way to keep their smartphones close and visible while playing," said Chris Arbogast, Nyko's Director of Sales and Marketing.
