Pokemon Go
trainers around the world are now able to battle and capture the Legendary Pokemon Moltres. The Team Valor mascot first popped up in a special raid Monday afternoon in Bellevue, WA (home of The Pokemon Company's US offices.) At 7:05 PM ET, Moltres began appearing in random Raids around the world.

Unfortunately, Moltres's 7 PM arrival time means that the United States' East Coast won't get to experience Moltres until tomorrow. Pokemon Go has timed raids to stop around sunset, which means that the last raids for most folks in the Eastern Time Zone started twenty minutes before Moltres appeared.

Moltres is a Fire/Flying-Type Pokemon and should be a bit easier to defeat than Articuno. While Moltres has the higher stats, it also has several key weaknesses and many Pokemon are resistant to attacks. In addition to the "Legendary Killers" Tyranitar and Golem, players should also have success using powerful Water-Type Pokemon like Vaporeon.

Like Articuno, players will have only one week to battle and catch Moltres. The Pokemon will stay in the game until August 7, when Zapdos will appear to replace it.

Interestingly, Moltres's arrival doesn't mean that Articuno has disappeared from the game entirely. Not only are there still some Articuno raids still underway that started before Moltres appeared, other players are reporting seeing new Articuno raids pop up even after the Moltres event has started.
