In this week's Weekly Shonen Jump issue, it was announced that both Goku and Vegeta's Super Saiyan Blue forms would be available to use in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Originally only Goku and Vegeta's Super Saiyan power-ups were available, however, the two Saiyan's latest forms from Dragon Ball Super have also now been included.

Although, Goku may still have the upper hand on his rival as the image of the two entering the cast of playable characters shows Goku using his Kaio-Ken as well. However, it hasn't been confirmed whether or not that form will be used in the upcoming game, but his appearance in that form within the image for the announcement does raise the question if it will be included, as it looks like.

In addition, as the game is expected to be released early next year, fans should most likely see Goku's new form in Dragon Ball Super by the game's release. As a result, could Goku's new transformation be included in Dragon Ball FighterZ as well? In reality, it depends on when fans see the form in the Tournament of Power, as the quicker the transformation arrives, the more likely it will be included in the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, the other playable characters that have been officially included in the upcoming game are Gohan, Cell, Freeza, Majin Buu, Future Trunks, Krillin, Android 17, Android 18 and Piccolo. With them being included in the game, will Dragon Ball fans see more of the Dragon Ball Super transformations in Dragon Ball FighterZ?

Already Freeza’s Golden form has been a confirmed inclusion to the game as well. However, with Freeza’s form, as well as Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue power ups being added, could Future Trunks’s new form also be included in the game as well? It is possible that fans may see Future Trunk’s Rage Form in Dragon Ball Fighter Z, especially with the inclusion of Freeza’s, Vegeta’s and Goku’s Dragon Ball Super transformations. However, at the moment that is only speculation, although with the addition of the other characters newest forms, why would they leave out Trunks's.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available on most major consoles including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game will be developed by Arc System Works and edited by Bandai Namco, with Dragon Ball FighterZ expected to be released in early 2018.
