Domino’s Is Offering Australian Final Fantasy Fans Free Games – And Special Pizza Flavors

Sometimes, gamers overseas get that little something extra that we don't get on our shores. Yesterday, we heard about Europeans getting a limited edition Gran Turismo Sport PS4 bundle that will no doubt make hardcore drivers jealous. And today? It's all about pizza in Australia.

We have pizza here too, mind you, but Domino's has launched a new initiative for Australian gamers that not only gives them access to a popular title on the house, but also some quirky pizza flavors based on the Final Fantasy franchise. Yep, you heard that right – Final Fantasy pizza. And you thought the noodles were something else.

The company has announced that it's going to offer a free copy of Final Fantasy XIV Online: Complete Edition to Australian gamers that order their favorite pizzas through Domino's. But in addition to that, the company is also revealing a new Pizza Mogul creation, inspired by the legendary Chocobos in the game.

So here's how it works. Australian residents who order one of the special Final Fantasy XIV pizzas, (three in all) along with garlic bread and a 1.25 liter drink for $49.99 will also receive a download code for Final Fantasy XIV, for either PC or PlayStation 4. The game includes the full A Realm Reborn game, along with the expansions Heavensward and Stormblood.

As for the pizza flavors, well, they're quite strange. First up is the Chocobo Chow pizza, which has chicken, pineapple, capsicum, mushrooms, onion and spring onion. So, yeah, it's weird like a Chocobo, to say the least.

But that's not all. The other flavors that have been changed for Final Fantasy style include:

BBQ Meatlovers – Moogle's Meatlovers

Vagorama – Curious Cactuar

Supreme – Stormblood Supreme

Hawaiian – Heavensward Hawaiian

There's no word yet if Domino's will bring a promotion like this to the U.S., but considering our gaming culture – and the fact some folks out there can't live without pineapple on their pizza – it'd make for a great promotion here. Here's hoping that Domino's U.S. division gives it a chance.
