Pokemon Go Goes Down Again and Trainer Club Players Aren't Happy

Pokemon Trainer Club Players are No Strangers to Outages
Pokemon Go players who opted to use their Pokemon Trainer Club when setting up their account have had their fair share of outages in the past, so the fact that it's down again isn't too surprising to them. That doesn't mean that it's not upsetting, though, as players are still unhappy with the weekend interruption.
In fact, this is the second time that Pokemon Go has gone down for Trainer Club players in the past few days. The first time it went down earlier today took several hours to resolve, and with the mobile game down once again, players aren't too optimistic about their Pokemon-catching plans for the weekend.

But while the Pokemon Trainer Club players have been experiencing their problems, Pokemon Go players who use the Google account service haven't been having any issues at all.
The majority of Pokemon Go players use their Google account to login, but the difference in user numbers has Pokemon Trainer Club users feeling a bit excluded when it comes to getting their issues resolved.
"I'm with four other friends trying to catch a shiny Pikachu in a nest and I'm the only PTC player," one Pokemon Go player explained on Reddit, voicing frustrations with the Trainer Club situation. "It sucks because now I want to go home and they want to stay and I can't leave them here because we all came in my car."

We’re investigating Pokémon Trainer Club log-in issues and are working on a solution. Thanks for your patience.

The above tweet came from Niantic early Saturday morning where they confirmed that there were indeed some issues going on with the Pokemon Trainer Club accounts and promised that they were working on a solution. That solution was apparently found as the game came back up for players for just a brief time, but with the service down once again, players aren't too confident that they'll be playing much more this weekend.
Like any time that Pokemon Go experiences problems, the classic Clefairy gif has once again made an appearance. It was tweeted after the first outage, but following responses to the second occurance, players still aren't too hopeful.

Pokemon Trainer Club Users Request Compensation or a Transfer
Only took 6 hours. For the love of god, let us move to Google login. We have been putting up with this over a year! PTC are loyal fans...

With both the first and the second instance of Pokemon Go going down today, players who use the Pokemon Trainer Club have made their frustrations clear by asking for compensation or the chance to switch to a Google account.
"When is niantic going to start giving us stardust or something when it goes down!?" one user asked in a Reddit thread about the outage.
In a similar discussion, several of the most-upvoted comments called for Niantic allowing Trainer Club users to swap over to a Google account where they'd likely experience less issues. Twitter was no safe place for Pokemon Go either, as seen above where a user replied to Niantic about the issue.
