Microsoft is no stranger to making special Xbox One systems, between its deluxe Gears of War 4 2TB Xbox One S console, and its forthcoming Minecraft system, which looks really sweet.

But now it's decided to take its design game to the next level, and has announced via Xbox Wire that it is making one-of-a-kind, custom Xbox One S consoles with "fan favorite celebrities and brands," which fans can win through giveaways on Twitter. And the first one it's come up with is quite a doozy.

For its debut design, the company teamed up with DJ duo The Chainsmokers to create a custom console, and it didn't disappoint. It built a rainbow colored design atop a white Xbox One S console that shows a neat glowing design, along with a couple of autographed white Xbox controllers.

So how was it designed? According to Microsoft, "the Xbox team used a thumbnail-sized, USB-powered microprocessor that works in real time to convert sound into an ever-changing and dynamic light show. Sixty miniature pixels illuminate the multi-layered acrylic display creating a 3D effect, lighting up this unique Xbox One S."

"We were really pumped to work with Xbox on this project and help bring our music to life in a new way, by combining it with the best gaming console in the world," said The Chainsmokers. "We knew the team would do something amazing, but when we saw the custom Xbox One S for the first time, we were both blown away by how cool the design is."

"Over my time, I have seen many unique consoles come to life but nothing ever like this one. This is a true piece of art and we're so excited that we got to partner with The Chainsmokers on it," said Aaron Greenberg, GM of Games Marketing at Xbox.

Fans will have a chance to win the console by following the rules on the Chainsmokers' Twitter account, which is sure to be quite the collector's item for them.

As for future designs, Microsoft hasn't noted who will be making their own Xbox One S console next, but fans should "be on the lookout" for what comes around the corn
