We're just under a week away from the release of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the latest entry in the publisher's highly popular crossover fighting series. We're expecting to get into some great skirmishes with some of the best from each universe, including Thor, Doctor Strange, Firebrand and Ghost Rider, amongst many others.

But today, Capcom released a new trailer that focuses on a very specific character, one that will immediately be recognizable to fans of the company – Mega Man.

In the brief but action-packed trailer, which you can see above, the Blue Bomber showcases a number of his moves, including some well-charged attacks (like a boomerang style projectile and a deviated shot from above), as well as his combos, which look absolutely ridiculous.

Then there are his supers, which involve a full-fledged blast from his arm cannon that can register many hits, as well as a spread-shot style attack that can hit an opponent both on the ground and in the air.

He can also charge up with tag team attacks, as you can see in the later part of the trailer, as he calls upon the mighty Thor to help him continue a combo, while at the same time prepping to unleash a super attack. And what's more, some of his super combos even enable him to change costume, including his souped-up X armor outfits.

Capcom will be releasing new trailers over the course of the next week that will highlight key characters from the series, as well as showcasing the effects of the six Infinity Stones that are included in the game. It's definitely taking a step in the right direction going with Mega Man first, since he's one of the most iconic characters in the cross-over series. Not to mention the fact that he's an absolute blast to play, especially if you've gotten used to him over the course of his many platforming adventures.

You'll be able to check out Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite soon enough, as the game is set to arrive on September 19th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. In the meantime, check out the trailer above and study up. You've got a whole plethora of new combos to master.
